WordPress is a an open-source (i.e. free to use) content management system (CMS) which allows you to mange your website’s content through an intuitive interface which requires no previous experience with HTML, CSS or FTP. If you can use software such as Word, then you can mange your website in WordPress. From editing pages, creating new pages, adding products, uploading images and so much more, you will never have to worry about contacting your web developer for every little content change.
As WordPress currently accounts for almost 20% of the world’s websites, it is a vary popular platform which has a huge community of supporters and plugin developers. This allows it to be fully extendable to fit your needs without you or your business having to take on the actual development costs. For example, if your website needs a contact form we can take advantage of a contact form plugin which saves me hours of programming and, more importantly, allows your budget to be focused on your important and more “custom” required features.
Many WordPress developers will simply purchase an inexpensive or even free template and make minor modifications to “attempt” to fit your design. In most cases this will never be an accurate depiction of your design, nor will they be able to fulfill all of your requests. I happen to develop 100% custom themes and plugins which means, if you have seen it on the web, then we can achieve it for your website. Combined with me having over 10 years of experience almost completely in WordPress, there are virtually no limitations.
